Westcoast Moulding & Millwork is proud to lead the way in low-emission, CANFER-compliant, and LEED-certified, green-building solutions with MDF eco-friendly mouldings, sheets, and boards.
All Westcoast Moulding sourced or manufactured MDF mouldings, sheets, and boards are Gold Standard Premium Eco-Friendly Mouldings and provide a low-emission MDF solution by utilizing leading-edge resin technology that contains low to no urea-formaldehyde. And because MDF is made of recycled wood fibre, these products qualify for LEED credits both as a “Low Emitting Material” under the indoor air quality provision EQ 4.4, and for “Recycled Content” under MR 4.1 and 4.2. Eco-Wise Hemlock wood products are 100% natural, sustainably forested, produced in Western Canada and Northern Washington State and having no chemical additives ensures a healthy home environment. For LEED projects, Hemlock is PEFC certified and is available with FSC Certification by request, and our MDF products are SCS certified. Alder and Fir, like Hemlock and all Western woods, are sourced from sustainably certified forestry operations and are classified as Eco-Friendly.
Finger Jointed Pine (FJP) products have negligible emissions due to the very small amount of glue used in its manufacture. Our FJP products are produced using sustainably farmed Radiata Pine and certified to not contain any tropical woods.
